9/21/08 - Rogers and Dalhausser won the Manhattan Beach Open defeating teh team of Scott and Lucena with Casey Jennings /Matt Fuerbringer and Matt Olson/Kevin Wong taking 3rd place.

May and Walsh won their fifth consecutive Manhattan Beach Open defeating Boss and Ross. The Avp resumes action in Glendale next weekend with the final regular season event of the year.

9/13/08 - Dax Holdren will be retiring this season after 16 years of competing on the AVP tour.

9/10/08 - Misty May Treanor will be appearing on Dancing with the Stars set to air this Fall.

9/8/08 - Rogers and Dalhausser won the Santa Barbara Open by defeating Keenan and Hyden. In a surprising upset, the team of May/Walsh los in the semi finals giving way for Annett Davis and Jenny Johnson to win their second title of the season in Santa Barbara.

8/25/08- Misty May and Kerri Walsh win the gold medal in the womens beach volleyball event in Beijing. They defeated the Chinese team in 2 games in a rain socked event. This is their second gold medal as they won the 2004 beach volleyball event in Athens.

8/25/08- Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers, the top mens beach volleyball team in the world won the gold medal defeating the Brazilian team in Beijing.
